After 27 years at the helm of the Seed Testing Department within DJF, PD, the Danish AgriBusiness Agency, and TystofteFonden, it's time for me to step down as Director of TystofteFonden. Therefore, I am pleased to hand over the reins to Jeppe Reitan Andersen, who will be taking the captain's seat on June 1st!

A big thank you, especially for the last 10 years, during which Tystofte has transformed from an organisation where survival was the success criterion, with facilities on the verge of collapse, to Tystofte today being an organisation with both operations and development.

In Thor's wake, I have learned and experienced an enormous amount over these 10 years – a journey I never foresaw or expected to be a part of. And as a bonus, I have been involved in approving many new varieties and certifying even more batches of propagation material for the benefit of Danish agriculture. Varieties and batches that form the basis of our feed and food supply!

Gerhard will continue in the value group and will handle VP coordination going forward.

The Board of Directors thanks Gerhard for his significant efforts in converting Tystofte from a state-owned, underfunded, and rundown site into a fully modern variety testing facility, which is now ready for the next major development leap. Therefore, we are also pleased that, together with Gerhard, we have decided that future challenges will be managed and developed under Jeppe's leadership. Since his employment at TystofteFonden, Jeppe has clearly demonstrated the competencies to lead both development and daily management, which is also important regarding the official duties.
