Breeding control

Breeding control

Breeding companies are responsible for ensuring authorised breeding control of all categories and species of agricultural plants.

Authorised breeding inspectors must inspect all areas allocated for the breeding of forage and seed crops. They check, among other things, for the presence of other varieties, species, weeds, and distance isolation from pollen sources.
TystofteFonden undertakes official random reinspections of areas surveyed by authorised breeding controllers, based on a specific risk assessment. The purpose is to ensure that the authorised inspection is carried out in accordance with the rules.

The post-control is carried out by official breeding controllers affiliated with TystofteFonden.
