Winter cereal seed mixtures 2021/2022

The Tystofte Foundation assigns a mixture number to the mixture in question, after which the approved mixture can be produced and does not need to be re-reported to the Tystofte Foundation in subsequent seasons.

For the 2021/2022 season, the following varietal mixtures of winter cereals have been approved by TystofteFonden and meet the conditions. The list is not exhaustive and there may be more varietal mixtures that meet the conditions:

Terms and conditions for the production and sale of seed mixtures

The specified variety mixtures have been approved on the basis of the following criteria:

  • The varieties used in a mixture must each have a kernel yield ratio of at least 95 on average of the latest 5 years of national surveys. For new varieties with fewer trial years, the average ratio must be 97.
  • There must be no more than five days' difference in the ripening time of the varieties used.
  • There must be a maximum difference of 15 cm in the stem length of the varieties used. spring sown crop.
  • There must be a maximum difference of 20 cm in the weave length of the varieties used. winter cereal.

Following the Danish Agency for Agriculture's Order No. 421 of 16 March 2021 on Seed, the conditions for the production and sale of winter cereal cultivar mixtures are as follows:

  • The batches to be used in seed mixtures must be certified.
  • The sampler must, before mixing commences, be shown the individual batches, monitor the mixing process, and have been handed the labels from the units of pure varieties that are included in the mixture.
  • The batch is mixed, marked and sealed by the sampler. There is no weight limit on the batch.
  • The mixing lot shall be labelled with the EU label for seed mixtures, form 88c, or with a pre-printed label on the bag which has been approved. The labelling shall include the lot number and the names of the individual varieties included in the mixture. If there is insufficient space for both the lot number and the individual varieties on the label itself, the individual varieties may be printed on the reverse side of the bag.
  • The seed mixtures must be set out in Annex 11 of the Danish regulation on seed, before they may be marketed and traded.
